Brakes
The level of braking power you need depends on how much engine power you have. Still, even if you have a completely stock engine, the stock single-piston 240SX brakes are too weak for any hard use. A popular option is to install Nissan 300ZX brakes on the 240SX. These brakes are good for mild performance applications. A better option is to use an aftermarket brake kit on the front and salvaged 300ZX rear brakes or a full front/rear aftermarket brake kit. I’ve listed some good brake kits below.

* Brembo makes a kit designed specifically for the S14 240SX (1995-98), but they do not have one for the S13 (1989-94). However, their 300ZX kit will fit on the S13.
